A large-scale installation of used Link 51 pallet racking has recently been completed at a major distribution centre in Rugby, marking a significant upgrade to the facility’s storage infrastructure. Designed to increase capacity and streamline operations, the project featured a comprehensive mix of high-quality used and new components.
The installation included:
- 561 used Link 51 frames (13000mm x 1100mm)
- 5,330 used 2-tonne beams (2300mm)
- 108 used 1-tonne beams (1225mm)
- 230 new 3-tonne beams (3600mm)
- 622 new A-Safe frame guards for added protection
- 357 used mesh decks (1130mm x 1100mm)
- 48 2600mm end barriers
- 20 1200mm end barriers
This setup not only maximizes vertical space but also ensures safer, more efficient product handling and segregation throughout the facility. The blend of used and new equipment reflects a smart, sustainable approach—delivering both cost savings and environmental benefits without sacrificing performance or safety.
With this installation now complete, the Rugby centre is better positioned to handle growing distribution demands while maintaining operational excellence.
